In 1997, Gipuzkoa installed its first Continuous GPS Station, called GFA, on the roof of its headquarters. In this urban environment, the station was losing satellite visibility and, as a result, it was replaced by a network of three stations in 2005: ELGE, IGEL and LAZK, in conjunction with the Municipality Councils of Elgeta and Lazkao, and the Igeldo Meteorological Observatory. In 2007 the equipment was upgraded to receive Glonass signals as well as GPS, and joined a new station PASA in the facilities of Azti-Tecnalia.
This network includes stations, both public and private, of our vicinity. In this way the user accesses an infrastructure of higher density, and has several connection options, as our own data are exchanged with new networks as Bizkaia, Euskadi or Teria.
The network is set up with distances less than 20 km from any point in Gipuzkoa which means that centimetric accuracy can be achieved in real time in geodesic and topographic studies.
The network processes daily ITRF solutions, monitors the received observations and the generation of real-time corrections, for both RTK Solutions (Residual Ionosphere and Troposphere) and Network RTK Solutions (Residual Ionosphere and Troposphere).
Each GNSS Reference Station stores RINEX data for post-processing and generates CMR +, RTCM 3.0 RTCM2.3 corrections via NTRIP protocol. In order to obtain information, access to real-time corrections and download data of each GNSS station, click on its location.
